Welcome to the blog. Many of you reading are at least vaguely familiar with the popular CBS show The Big Bang Theory. One of the main characters, Dr. Sheldon Lee Cooper (portrayed by Jim Parsons), is beloved and irritating to many. Autism specialists around the U.S.A claim that Dr. Cooper has what appears to be autism spectrum disorder (ASD). While the show creators have never stated that the character has ASD, Dr. Cooper does demonstrate the symptoms and characteristics of the disorder repeatedly on the show. In a series of weekly blog posts, we will take a look what those symptoms and characteristics are as we look back on old and recent episodes.
